Best Free Poker Trainers 2026: What Each Free Tier Really Includes
The best free poker trainers in 2026 depend on what you want to train. GTO Wizard and Lucid Poker give free solver access with daily caps; GTO Gecko and Poker Trainer offer free drill hands with a daily limit. Poker Puzzle Trainer, which we make, is the only one here with no daily cap on any of its drills: explained decisions in English, French and Spanish, but no solver. Every free tier below was checked on October 10, 2026.
Disclosure: Poker Puzzle Trainer is our own app. We judge it on the same criteria as the others and say where it falls short: it has no solver, no range charts and no import of your own hands, so you cannot study a spot you set up yourself, as you can with a solver.

- GTO Wizard: the reference solver library. The free plan is a demo of it: enough to look up a few spots and play 10 trainer hands a day.
- Lucid Poker: the most generous free solver access of the five, with unlimited preflop solves and a daily puzzle; postflop is capped.
- GTO Gecko: a free preflop library and free daily hands on preflop, postflop and full-hand trainers; its site does not state how many.
- Poker Trainer: short exercises on web, iOS and Android; all exercises are free up to a daily number of hands that the site does not state.
- Poker Puzzle Trainer (ours): decisions organized in chapters, each with an explanation, playable without limit in an installable web app that also works offline. No solver, and no pretence of one.
